Principal's Corner
Welcome back!
Â
Dear Ikego Firefly families,
Welcome back! I hope each of you enjoyed a restful and joyful winter break with family and friends. As we begin the new year, I want to express my excitement for all the learning and growth that lies ahead. The first week back is always an important time for students to re-establish routines and refocus on their goals. Our teachers and staff are ready to support every child as they transition back into the classroom and continue building on the progress they’ve made so far.
This semester brings many opportunities for engagement and success. We encourage families to stay connected by checking classroom updates, attending upcoming events, and communicating with teachers. Your partnership is essential in helping students thrive academically and socially. Together, we can ensure that every child feels supported and motivated to do their best.
Please remind your children about the importance of coming to school prepared, getting plenty of rest, and practicing kindness toward others. A positive attitude and strong effort will make this a rewarding start to the year. Thank you for your continued commitment to our school community—we truly appreciate all you do to make our school a safe and welcoming place for every student.
Here’s to a fantastic semester ahead! If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to working together to make this 2026 year a great success.
